Poultry ventilation system – air inlet

1. The role of wall-mounted air inlets
The air inlet is mainly used to adjust the ventilation in the chicken house
Introducing fresh air: Through the wall-mounted air inlet, fresh air from the outside can be introduced into the chicken house to provide sufficient oxygen for the poultry.
Exhausting harmful gases: Harmful gases such as ammonia and hydrogen sulfide may be produced in the chicken house. The wall-mounted air inlet can discharge these harmful gases and improve the air quality in the chicken house.
Adjusting temperature: In spring and autumn, the wall-mounted air inlet can achieve uniform mixing of air in the chicken house to achieve a balanced temperature effect. In summer, properly opening the wall-mounted air inlet can promote air circulation and help reduce the temperature in the chicken house.
Improving comfort: Good ventilation and air quality help improve the comfort of poultry, thereby promoting their growth and production performance.
2. Design principles of wall-mounted air inlets
When designing wall-mounted air inlet windows, the following principles need to be considered:
Specification selection: The specifications of the wall-mounted air inlet should be determined according to the size of the chicken house and the stocking density of poultry. Normally, the air inlet gap should almost reach the full length of the chicken house to obtain sufficient ventilation. Common specifications are 600mm wide and 320mm high.
Material selection: The wall-mounted air inlet should be made of durable and aging-resistant materials, such as engineering plastics. At the same time, the outer opening should be equipped with a bird-proof net to prevent wild birds and other pests from invading the chicken house.
Position layout: The wall-mounted air inlet should be evenly distributed on both sides of the chicken house to ensure that fresh air can enter all parts of the chicken house evenly. At the same time, avoid setting the air inlet at the front of the chicken house or the wet curtain position to prevent cold air from blowing directly onto the poultry.
