I. Definition and Function
The primary air filter, also known as the coarse filter, is mainly used to remove large particles in the air, such as dust, pollen, fiber, hair and some bacteria. It is the first line of defense of the air purification system, which can ensure the basic cleanliness and quality of the air. Primary filters are widely used in various air purification systems, such as air conditioning systems, ventilation systems and air purifiers.

II. Working Principle
The working principle of the primary air filter is to remove large particles in the air by physical filtration. It is mainly composed of a filter medium, and the commonly used filter media include cellulose, synthetic fiber, glass fiber, etc. These filter media exist in a mesh structure with different pore sizes, which can capture and block particles larger than their pore sizes. When air passes through the primary filter, large particles are intercepted by the filter medium, and clean air continues to flow through the filter.

III. Classification and Grade
Primary filters are usually divided according to the filtration efficiency, generally divided into four grades: G1, G2, G3, G4. The larger the number, the higher the filtration efficiency. Filters with a filtration efficiency between 50% and 90% are classified as primary filters. Primary filters of different grades differ in filtration efficiency, dust holding capacity, and service life.

Large dust holding capacity: The filter medium of the primary filter can hold a large amount of particulate matter, so it has a long service life.
Long service life: Due to the large dust holding capacity, the replacement frequency of the primary filter is relatively low, which reduces the maintenance cost.
Affordable price: The price of the primary filter is relatively affordable and suitable for large-scale applications.
Application:
Primary filters are widely used in industries such as steel, electronics, chemicals, automobiles, environmental protection, and electricity, as air intake filtration equipment for centrifugal compressor filter rooms and coarse filtration for dust removal and oil removal of various air conditioning systems.
It can also be used as the front-end filter of the medium-efficiency air filter to reduce the load of the medium-efficiency air filter and extend its service life.
Primary filters are suitable for pre-filtration of ventilation and air-conditioning systems in large buildings such as offices, conference rooms, hospitals, shopping malls, airports, and centralized ventilation and air-conditioning systems in ordinary industrial plants or clean rooms.
