Evaporative Cooler Pads

Evaporative cooling pad is a kind of special paper honeycomb structural material, its working principle is the natural physical phenomenon of “water evaporation absorbs heat”. That is, under the action of gravity, water flows down from the top to form a water film on the corrugated fiber surface of the cooling pad. When the rapidly flowing air passes through the cooling pad, the water in the water film will absorb the heat in the air and then evaporate and take away a large amount of heat, reducing the temperature of the air passing through the cooling pad to achieve the purpose of cooling.

Cooling pad cooling mainly uses the physical principle that water absorbs heat in the air during the evaporation of water, so that the air temperature drops. In practice, the cooling pad is installed on one end of the gable wall or side wall of the closed building, and the fan is installed on the other end of the gable wall or side wall. The cooling fan pumps out indoor air, generates negative pressure and forces outdoor air to flow through the surface of the porous wet cooling pad, so that a large amount of heat in the air is converted and forced to reduce the air entering the room by 10-15℃. And continue to introduce indoor heat prevention and cooling.

Water evaporation heat absorption is a very common physical phenomenon in nature, evaporation cooling pad cooling also uses this principle, the comprehensive application of cooling pad cooling system and negative pressure fan is the use of water evaporation heat absorption and air cooling thermal principle, fully demonstrating the three elements of water evaporation heat absorption principle:
1. Surface area of contact between water and air
2. Speed of air circulation
3. Temperature of the water itself
And the heat absorption efficiency of water evaporation is proportional to the above factors
1. Under the action of the pump and gravity, the water flows down from the top, forming a wrinkled water film with a total area equivalent to more than 10 times the appearance area of the cooling pad on the corrugated fiber surface of the cooling pad, so the contact area between the water film and the air is very large.
2. Due to the “air pressure difference” caused by the negative pressure fan, the outdoor air will quickly and indirectly pass through the evaporative cooling pad and collide with the cooling pad water film, so that the heat in the air is quickly absorbed by the wide area of the water film.
3. As the water temperature increases, evaporation will increase, and the heat taken away by the water will increase. That is, the more obvious the cooling effect is.
