Primary filter vs. sub-high efficiency filter | Core difference comparison

Primary filter: The primary filter mainly filters dust particles larger than 5μm. In pig farms, it can effectively intercept large dust particles, hair and other pollutants. For example, installing a primary filter at the ventilation opening of the pig farm can preliminarily purify the incoming air and reduce the burden for subsequent more precise filtration. Its filtration efficiency is generally 20% – 80% (weight method).
Sub-high efficiency filter: Sub-high efficiency filter has excellent filtration effect on tiny particles in the range of 0.5 – 5 microns, and the filtration efficiency can reach 95% – 99.95% (EN1882 standard). In pig farms, especially in areas with high biosafety requirements, such as breeding pig houses and delivery rooms, sub-high efficiency filters can accurately intercept bacteria and viruses and reduce the risk of disease transmission.
